Planetary Dreaming.

A professional community for those who dream for the Earth.

Planetary Dreaming 2024

In collaboration with: The Royal Danish Academy

Consultant on the assignment: Gry Guldberg

Dreamers from various professions and disciplines come together to collectively shift the focus from dystopia to hopeful futures within planetary boundaries, with architecture, design and art as the focal point.

These dreamers all participate in the platform 'Planetary Dreaming: Designing the Future', anchored at the Royal Danish Academy and initiated by Ida Engholm, Jakob Ion Wille and Morten Meldgaard.

The purpose is to explore new pathways and methodologies for shaping a sustainable future through an open-source approach, allowing anyone to contribute their thoughts and dreams.

All the gathered knowledge and inspiration serve as a resource for new ways the future can be shaped, culminating in the establishment of a research and development center, which is under development towards 2025.

In the network, Estuary is represented by Gry Guldberg, who leads and facilitates the gatherings of the dreamers and contributes to the methodological approach, focusing on creative, sensing and dreaming approaches.

The platform's partners include the think tank Mandag Morgen, The National Centre for Public-Private Sector Innovation (CO-PI), and the Danish Design Center, with financial support from the Beckett Foundation and the Danish Arts Foundation.
